The gateway of the Kaiser's former headquarters at Spa with a German sentry on duty. A British staff car bearing a white flag goes through the gates followed by a German officer. A British sentry marches past on his rounds, 29th November. II. British 1st Cavalry Division on the road with all its transport about to cross the frontier at Malmédy into Germany. Standing near the road photographing the event is J Warwick Brooke, the British official photographer, 1st December. III. Brigadier-General A Lawson with his staff leads 2nd Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, led by 9th Lancers, in column into the town of Spa, with local civilians crowding the route, 29th November.
